Abigail Kassner

My name is Abigail Kassner and I will be graduating from Joel Barlow High School (Redding, Connecticut) in 2029. I play club soccer for Westchester Rush in the DPL Northeast League. I play the 8 and the 10, but I am also comfortable as a holding / defensive midfielder. I’m a right foot dominant player but am adept using my left. I am currently in 8th grade, but have often played up. I have played in the Netherlands on the Dutch Soccer School’s Select Team and am going to play in Helsinki, Finland for Northeast Rush’s Select Team. I also play futsal for the Hat City Futsal Club (Danbury, CT) and have competed in Regional tournaments in Boston and Atlantic City. I'm committed to being a coachable team player and committed to my academics. I am interested in schools that offer solid liberal arts education and a variety of majors. I feel my speed, calmness on the ball, and tactical and situational awareness in the attacking third would allow me to help a team compete for championships in the coming years. I'm a hard working student with a 4.0 GPA. I am also a musician. I play the upright and electric bass in the string orchestra and the jazz band.
