Alison Chandler

I am a 2028 center fielder and versatile outfielder who bats left-handed and throws right-handed. I am a complete triple-threat hitter who can bunt, soft slap, hard slap, or swing away with power. My speed pressures the defense, while my 67 mph exit velocity and gap-to-gap power allow me to drive the ball for extra bases. Defensively, I take pride in my range, reads, arm strength, communication, and versatility across the outfield.

I am a competitive, team-first player who brings energy, effort, and a positive attitude every day. I want to be a teammate my coaches can trust in important situations and someone who consistently supports those around me. I am always working to improve, and I believe my speed, complete offensive approach, defensive versatility, work ethic, and willingness to embrace whatever role helps the team can add value to a college program.

Academically, I challenge myself with Pre-AP and advanced coursework and carry a 4.2 weighted GPA on a 4.0 scale while competing year-round. I am a member of National Honor Society, have received Academic Excellence Awards, participate in HOSA, am CPR/AED and First Aid certified, have completed Stop the Bleed training, and serve as a student athletic trainer.

I earned TAPPS 5A First Team All-District honors in both my freshman and sophomore seasons and was named TAPPS 5A All-State Honorable Mention as a freshman. As a sophomore, I hit .459 with a .542 OBP, .705 SLG, and 1.247 OPS. Twelve of my 28 hits went for extra bases, I drove in 19 runs in 72 plate appearances, and I drew 10 walks while striking out only eight times. Those results reflect the work I have put into becoming more than a traditional slap hitter.

During 12U travel softball, I was struck near my left eye by a softball, fractured my orbital bone, and required plastic surgery to repair the injury and facial scarring. That experience inspired my interest in medicine and my goal of becoming a reconstructive plastic surgeon. I am interested in studying kinesiology, exercise science, or another field that supports a pre-med pathway.

I am looking for a college that will challenge me academically, support my preparation for medical school, and provide a softball program built on development, accountability, hard work, and strong team culture. I want to compete at a high level, continue growing as a student-athlete and person, and represent my future program with character, discipline, and pride on and off the field.
