About Ana
My name is Ana Callas and I am a junior attending Columbine High School in Littleton Colorado. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old and have been playing ever since. Right now, I am playing for Colorado United Girls Academy, I also played in the ECNL for about a year. Unfortunately, in April of 2024 I tore my ACL and I was unable to play for about a year and two months. Because I was injured my freshman year, I was not allowed to play high school soccer in the spring of 2025. However, I stayed as involved as possible and was one of the team managers for varsity. Tearing my ACL was extremely hard mentally, emotionally, and physically but going through that injury made me appreciate soccer so much more. I have truly fallen in love with the sport all over again. Thankfully, I have fully recovered from my injury and have been back to playing for about a year now. For the 2026 Spring High School season, I was on varsity and mainly played in the #10. I had 3 goals for the season and 3 assists in my first year playing on varsity. As a player, I have a high soccer IQ and am always looking to connect passes to go forward. One of my biggest strengths is passing, whether that’s from a through-ball, a combination play, or just a short pass. I am always able to find my teammates feet. I am a player that makes a positive impact on the team. Last GA season I scored and assisted a majority of the goals, finishing the season with 3 goals and 5 assists. Another positive thing about me as a player is that I am not afraid to go in for contact with another player. I am also very confident with my skill to head the ball. As a student, I am very academically motivated and I challenge myself with the work I do in school. This year, I am taking 3 AP classes, last year I took 2 AP classes and not only finished with an A in both of them, but I got 4’s on the official AP exam. I am extremely interested in psychology and I plan to major in that.
