Academic honors

I have gotten an academic letter both years in high school because I have a 4.0 GPA unweighted and a 4.47 GPA weighted. The only AP score I have gotten back so far is AP Human Geography where I got a 5. I am a member of HOSA which is a future healthcare professionals club where I have placed 3rd in Health Education, 4th in Nutrition, and 4th in Occupational Therapy at State and have gone to two international competitions. Additionally I am vice president of competitive events for HOSA at my school. I placed 7th in Sports and Entertainment Management at State for Future Business Leaders of America and qualified for the national competition. I am also president of the French Honor Society and a co-chair in the National Honor Society at my school. 

Extracurricular activities

I also play varsity basketball for my high school where I have started both my freshman and sophomore year, along with getting all league honorable mention my freshman year. I am a part of the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership group. I volunteer a lot including mainly with organizations including Food for Hope and Lasagna Love where my family and I make lasagna's to give to people in need. I also volunteer with Lifeline Puppy Rescue a no-kill puppy shelter.

About Ava

Hi! I am a very academically and athletically driven person who works very hard to succeed in the classroom and on the field. What makes me unique as a player is my ability to play very calm and composed under pressure, my work ethic, and not being afraid to get into tackles. I hope to go to a college that is good in exercise science, sports medicine, or related health fields. I am also looking for a program that has a very tight knit community which helps each other to grow on and off the field.
