About Bento

My name is Bento Ramos, and I am a Brazilian soccer player from the Class of 2027. I currently attend a boarding academy in the United States, where I balance school with a demanding soccer schedule and train in an environment that prepares me for the next level of the game.

I am primarily a left back, but I can also play center back and defensive midfield. I have been playing in a top-level program for the past two years and have gained valuable experience competing against adult players in the UPSL. Playing against older, stronger, and more experienced opponents has helped me grow physically, improve my decision-making, and better understand the demands of the game beyond youth soccer.

I also have experience playing in Brazil, including time with Botafogo, where I began developing my soccer foundation. Moving from Brazil to the United States has been an important part of my journey, both as a player and as a person. It has taught me to adapt, become more independent, and stay committed to my goals even when things are challenging.

As a player, I would describe myself as disciplined, competitive, versatile, and committed to the team. I am a left-footed defender who takes pride in my passing, positioning, defensive awareness, and ability to contribute to the build-up. I enjoy reading the game, winning duels, and helping the team stay organized. I also work hard to improve every part of my game and am always willing to learn.

As a team captain, I understand the importance of communication, responsibility, and leading by example. I try to bring consistency, energy, and composure to the team, especially in difficult moments. My goal is to continue developing as a player and earn the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level, while contributing positively to whichever program I become part of.
