Benjamin Leonetti

Hello, I am Benji, a senior at North Shore Country Day School in Illinois. I turned 17 in September, I am 5’6 and 125lbs. I play as an attacking midfielder as well as wide wing. I am comfortable playing any position on the field and am flexible supporting the needs of the team. Soccer is an integral part of my life; I started playing in 1st grade in West Valley, LA, then joined Real SoCal (LA) and in 2017, played for FC United in Chicago. Athletically, I made the Varsity team for the playoffs as a Freshman when we made it to the Final Four (1A, Illinois) and have played Varsity as a sophomore and a junior. Two years in a row we have won the ISL league Championship.

I have a 3.3 GPA (unweighted) and aiming for 4 APs as well as honor class in math. I am interested in business and entrepreneurship. I am the founder of Vet Smiles for Miles and Spirit Football (www.spiritfootball.org). I fundraise to support Chicago based organizations with donating soccer balls.

I am a dual French American citizen. I believe my international education has shaped me adapting to new situations easily, both socially and emotionally.

I would like to pursue soccer in college and continue to grow to the best of my ability both academically and athletically. I believe both go hand in hand and feed from each other. I am looking for a college where I would make a positive impact on the soccer community, on and off the field and where I would broaden my perspectives.
