About Brehna
My name is Brehna Havelka, and I am from Liberty Hill, TX. I attend Liberty Hill High School, and I am class of 2029!
A little bit about me! When I'm not on the softball field, I love spending time at the beach, boogie boarding, fishing, listening to music, baking, working out, and hanging out with my friends and family. I enjoy being active and making memories with the people I love.
The biggest influences in my life have been my parents. When I was 12, I lost my dad, Derek, after his long 10 year battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer. Even through everything he faced, he was always happy, he made sure to be at any of my events, he treated people with kindness even though he had been handed a hard situation to deal with. He showed me that even through hard things you can still be kind and happy, it is all how you approach the situation. He showed me what it really means to never give up and to enjoy life and everything that comes with it. My mom has shown me what true strength looks like. She cared for my dad for more than 10 years while keeping our family together with love, humor and determination. They encouraged me to work hard, take life seriously, but not too seriosuly, and always be kind and respect the people around me.
On the dirt, I'm a calm, steady presence in the circle and field. I like leading by example, and one of my biggest strengths is staying composed in pressure situations.
I want to find a college that feels like home, a program where I can continue my academic journey and where I can compete on the field! I want to be surrounded by coaches who care about their players as individuals, and teammates who are kind and know how push each other to be their best.
I want to be someone who works hard, competes with heart, and makes a positive impact wherever I go.
