In my highlight video, I tried to capture all this things I can do on the soccer field. You can see me scoring goals, assisting on goals, winning the ball and starting the attack, winning balls in the air and my free kick / corner kick range.

About Colbie

My name is Colbie Gisleson, I'm a Junior at Norwich Free Academy in Norwich, Connecticut.

I am a very hard working, competitive person academically and athletically.  I worked hard to become a starter on my Elite team and also as a freshman on the High School Varsity team. Having the opportunity to play for former and current college coaches; I have continued to learn, grow, and become a better player each and every day. Outside of practice I work on my own and with current College players to improve my ball control, field vision, shooting, and field awareness.

During each game, I give it my all. I try to be the player my team needs whether it's being more of an offensive player, more defensive, mark the other teams best player, or be the physical presence my team needs to win the ball back.

When I complete my High School and Premier soccer career, I want to be known as a great player, student, and teammate.

Philip A. Mongelluzzo, Jr. ( email: phil.mongelluzzo@northeastrush.com, phone: 203-565-2898, relationship: Coach): To Whom It May Concern: It is with great pleasure and honor that I write this letter of recommendation for Ms. Colbie Gisleson, Class of 2026. I had the opportunity to be Colbie’s Head Coach on her CT Northeast Rush Select Regional Team. I was immediately impressed by Colbie’s “presence” when I first met her as an incoming player. I found her to be wise and mature beyond her years. She has an amazing work ethic and more importantly, an accountability to herself and others. Her physical and technical skill set is exceptional, but what stands out most about her is her soccer IQ and read of the game. Quite simply, Colbie is someone you build a team around and I have had players close to her caliber on two state championship soccer teams. Colbie constantly tries to improve herself, both as a player and person. She invites constructive criticism and has realized at an early age that living outside of her comfort zone is the only way for her to grow. She was an absolute joy to coach, and I am a better person for meeting and coaching her. Respectfully, Philip A. Mongelluzzo, Jr. Head Coach, Varsity Girls Holy Cross High School
