About Chris
I've always loved soccer and have been playing since I was four years old. I have been doing travel soccer since I was eight. Feedback from my coaches is that I am coachable, composed and calm under pressure and in intense situations/ game play. While I am an aggressive defender, i also have a high soccer IQ and am a smart player. No matter how intense the game, i don't lose my cool or let the other team get in my head. I am viewed as a leader on my high school team. I will be a Captain next year.
What makes me unique is that i had an injury in my sophomore year that ended my season early. My injury taught me how to stay resilient and not give up on myself during a very discouraging time. I learned how stay positive and to listen to my body and my doctors. Although i could not play at that time, i supported my teammates at every game and practice. I was able to return to playing four months later and became mentally and physically stronger, as a player, from what i had endured.
My goals are to keep growing as a player and teammate on my Select Team and my high school team. I would like to win the Shoreline Conference next year, my senior year, and go far in states.
I'm looking for a college with a strong soccer program that will not only challenge me but will be fun. I would help that program the same way that i help my current teams; giving 100% on and off the field, being a supportive teammate and working with my coach(es) to grow as a player and make impactful contributions to the program. And i want to win games.
When i am not playing soccer i like to ski, play golf and go to the gym. I completed my lifeguard certification two summers ago and work as a lifeguard during the summer.
