Cole Clifton

Hello my name is Cole Clifton, I am a sophomore at Geneseo High School and have gone to Geneseo schools my entire education so far. I have loved soccer nearly my entire life, I started at a young age of 3 and fell in love just like that. Every time I touch the ball I feel a sense of rush and excitement. Even watching professional soccer brings a smile to my face as I learn and take in how to play like the best. I continue to work outside of practices and games trying to hone my skills that are already consistent but there will always be room for improvement. Everyday I strive to be better and better at the beautiful game but not just that, I work hard on my education, and I try to become a better person every day. I always try to put my education first even if its difficult or simple, it counts towards every step I'm willing to take to become better. My goal in life is to become one of the best soccer players to come out of my home of the U.S.A. My dream has always been to go professional, that will take sacrifices and I'm willing to do whatever it takes. Starting at a collegiate level will help improve my connections and skills as well as my education as it is a great start to become professional. I am different among the players of today because I have a passion in my heart that continues to grow and develop to this game. I play as one would call "Joga Bonito" which means "play Beautifully". I try to play the game to express myself, my creativity, and passion. I've watched Ronaldo, Neymar, and many other players that play to express themselves and to not just win a game but to become a winner in their heart and mind. I aspire to be like them one day and become mentally & physically tougher to overcome obstacles that may come into my soccer journey. Some hobbies that I enjoy doing is working out, hanging out with friends, and playing games. Thank you for your time.
