About Cooper

I'm Cooper Alvarez, a Class of 2027 center defensive midfielder from East Syracuse, N.Y., and a 4.0 student at East Syracuse Minoa Central High School (ESM). A composed and technical player, I start in the midfield for ESM Boys Varsity Soccer (Section III Class AA) and was named to the SCAC Empire Division All-League 2nd Team during my Junior season in fall 2025, contributing to the Spartans’ 10–7–1 record. I play club soccer for New York Rush Syracuse 2007–2008, where I am known for my field vision, passing ability, strong work rate, and team-first mentality. I am continuing to develop as a midfield leader. Last season, I helped our team clinch the NYW Thruway League Elite Division Championship. I am also a dedicated honors student enrolled in college-level coursework and continuing to grow as a student-athlete and leader. Currently, I'm undecided on an academic field of study after high school. I am on track to earn an associate's degree in arts & sciences from Onondaga Community College through ESM's Spartan Academy High School College Program when I graduate from high school in June 2027.
