About Charlotte

When I'm not on the soccer field you'll find me in the gym. I am passionate about health and fitness. I hope to one day be a personal trainer. I love being involved in school clubs and organizations. I work with special needs kids and also with our county's superintendent on the Student Leadership Council to better our schools. I'm a leader at heart and I genuinely love the game of soccer.

Coach Jennifer Henderson ( email: jshenderson@smcps.org, phone: , relationship: Coach): Charlotte's positive attitude and unmatched work ethic make her a joy to coach. She is fast, powerful, technically skilled, and quick in transition. She enjoys scoring goals and creating scoring opportunities for her teammates. Charlotte is a focused and determined athlete that strives for success in everything she does.

Ryan Deal ( email: ryandeal4@gmail.com, phone: , relationship: Trainer): "I’ve had the pleasure of being Charlotte’s athletic performance coach for over a year now. Her dedication to being the best she can be on & off the field is unmatched. I’ve seen a ton of growth physically: understanding her movement capabilities, gaining strength & power, and exploring new ranges of motion. But she’s also grown and developed so much mentally & emotionally. Charlotte brings such a joyful attitude towards training, and has a natural ability to bring others up around her. Her combination of fun, smiles, and true, gritty, hard work makes the training environment thrive. She leads by example, and helps uplift others with her kindness. Everyone else in the group she’s training with knows that they have to bring their A-game when Charlotte’s there. As a coach, I truly believe I could explain the entire training session once, leave the room, and Charlotte could lead the other athletes the entire training session. Charlotte Bryan is a leader, a competitor, & among many other qualities, she is the epitome of a strong female athlete. -Ryan Deal"

Erica Samuel ( email: easamuel@smcps.org, phone: , relationship: Other): If the world had more people like Charlotte, it would be a better place. Charlotte embodies all the characteristics that I would love to see in all my students. She is the hardest worker, self-motivated, kind to everyone, and driven. Her positive attitude and the ability to make others around her feel comfortable make her the ideal student and teammate. I have known Charlotte for many years and watched her be kind to students that may not be the same as everyone else, including them in conversations or passing the ball with them. On several occasions, I have had Charlotte work with my daughter that is a couple of years younger than her on her soccer skills, and my daughter always leaves feeling good about herself and proud that she worked hard. Charlotte always has a prepared practice plan that works on skills that have helped my daughter improve and become more confident. I have had the pleasure of watching Charlotte on the soccer field and in strength/agility training and she is always the hardest worker, pushing herself on every sprint and rep. Her positive outlook on life is contagious and can always bring a smile to my pessimistic face.

Coach Nick Catena ( email: ncatena@somdrush.org, phone: , relationship: Coach): To whom it may concern, I am excited for the opportunity to inform you about this wonderful young lady Charlotte Bryan. I have known Charlotte for almost 3 years, as I have had the pleasure of being her Club Soccer Coach. As long as I have known Charlotte she has continually demonstrated consistency and growth in her character as a player and a person. From the moment she showed up to tryout for our team she had a smile on her face and was excited to be on the field. Trying out for an already established competitive team would usually be intimidating to most young females, but her confidence and work ethic revealed themselves very quickly and she showed that she belonged and would be an asset to help our team become MSYSA State Champions. Charlotte has a great attitude and carries herself well in times of success and adversity. She is often a leader within our team by way of her words and her actions. When she or the team have a good game or score a goal she celebrates with the team but is never too boastful or showboating. When the team is struggling or another player is struggling she remains in a positive mindset to uplift her team or teammates. Charlotte is always focused in on and participates in team discussions whether or not they relate to a game, trainings or any other team matter. I think very highly of Charlotte as an athlete and a young lady and I am sure if you are given the opportunity to meet or work with her you will find other great qualities that she has that I have not mentioned. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me.

Coach Jason Rose ( email: jasonrose2@hotmail.com, phone: , relationship: Coach): Charlotte is the most coachable kid I have gotten to work with. Her work ethic on all facets of the game is well above average. She has always been a physically tough player with tremendous speed and explosiveness and in the last 5 years has dramatically improved her strength by hitting the weight room. Charlotte is a team-first player and excels as a goal scorer, but with her mental awareness during game-play, she has the ability to play multiple positions for what the team needs. Most importantly, Charlotte’s parents have instilled in her the importance of the classroom and is a straight A student. Charlotte is a rare find in being a complete player on and off the field.
