I believe that being a college athlete brings out the unimaginable in a person. Facing adversity and being able to endure through it all, I believe defines what an athlete is. I remember playing in my high school state championship game and playing a rival school. Knowing that a PK shootout was possible, I was lined up to shoot 4th in the lineup. Plans unexpectedly changed when I got injured in overtime and it was something I will never forget. Having surgery two months later and working through an eight month recovery brought out a new athlete that I didn't even know resided in me. Standing under the lights again for the first time, knowing that I am truly healed and free to play the game I love brought forth a stronger determination to play college sports. My versatility on the field while having a goal scoring mindset makes me a valuable asset. While having a strong vision of the field at all times, strong shooting abilities, and a calmness while on the ball, I have developed into an athlete that showcases the unexpected. While balancing school throughout soccer, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and have an ACT score of 26. My faith in Jesus continues to be my north star in all that I do and all that I am. I believe that what I can bring to a college program is outspoken leadership, an undeniable work ethic, and new ideas and concepts to the field. I can't wait to continue my career into college and see what this new journey has in store for me.
