Ella Hoodmaker

Hi! My name is Ella Hoodmaker and I am in the class of 2027. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old and have always had a drive and passion for the sport. My goal has always been to play competitively on my high school varsity team, but recently, as I have gotten older and more serious about soccer, I have a desire to play in college. Many of my coaches, spectators and teammates have always seen me as confident on and off the field, which also contributes to my leadership skills. I am encouraging to my teammates and physically fit and aggressive on and off the ball. I am a mentally tough and organized player. I am coachable and are always willing to learn how I can improve. I can adapt to many different coaching techniques and grow with each coach that I have. But above all, I am a team player. I believe that a soccer game cannot be played well without a team. One of the main reasons that I want to play college soccer is because of the sense of community that I could gain. Having such a tight knit group of athletes, makes an outstanding team on and off the field.
