To Whom It May Concern,
It is a great honor to write this recommendation for Emerson Rains. My name is Hayley Stephens, and I am a former collegiate athlete at UW-La Crosse and teacher in the Monona Grove School District, and current coach for the Monona Grove Girls Soccer Program. I have had the pleasure of knowing Emerson for over two years as both a student and an athlete for Monona Grove and I have seen firsthand her commitment, dedication, and skill on and off the field.
Emerson is a natural, confident leader and shows exceptional talent as a forward. It will be difficult to find a player who works harder or has more of a desire to win than Emerson. Whether it be games or practice, that drive is always present. In the 22-23 high school season, her tenacity and desire to compete never wavered, even after often playing multiple games in a night, on both JV and Varsity. As only a freshman, her teammates looked to her as an offensive weapon whenever she stepped on the field. Her technical skills and calm confidence in front of the net allows her to succeed on the field. Her tactical ability to read the game, make quick decisions, and create scoring chances sets her apart from her peers. She is always thinking two passes ahead and how she can put herself and her teammates in the best positions to create opportunities to score.
She also constantly demonstrates excellent teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship. Emerson has such a strong dedication to her teammates, as well as a remarkable ability to perform under pressure. She is a true leader with the ability to inspire and motivate her teammates. Whether on the field, or the sidelines in practice, or in games Emerson is hyping up her teammates and holding them to the high expectations she also has for herself. These attributes will positively add to any program.
As a student, Emerson’s hard work mirrors that of the soccer field. I saw Emerson persevere and readjust to being a student after a pandemic and spending a year of school online. Like in soccer, as a student, Emerson is determined to excel, and puts in the hard work to achieve her goals.
I have no doubt that Emerson will succeed both athletically and academically in any soccer program at any university. She has the determination, drive, and passion to succeed in all areas of life.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this letter to provide an enthusiastic and heartfelt recommendation for my niece, Emerson Rains. I have had the privilege of witnessing her growth and development into an incredible young woman, and I can confidently attest to her character on and off the field.
Emerson is a remarkable person who embodies determination, mental toughness, and persistence. I have had the opportunity to see these qualities shine through in numerous aspects of her life, but they are particularly evident on the soccer field. I have observed her set goals and face challenges head on, never allowing setbacks to deter her spirit or ambitions.
As a player, Emerson is truly a force to be reckoned with. She consistently demonstrates exceptional dedication and an unyielding work ethic, which make her a key contributor to any team. As an eighth grader, she joined a gym to improve her physical fitness and performance during the off season. Emerson is not only an accomplished athlete but also an excellent team player. She fosters a sense of camaraderie and unity that greatly contributes to the overall success of her team.
What truly sets Emerson apart, however, is her exceptional character. She treats everyone with whom she comes into contact with genuine kindness and respect, demonstrating empathy and a genuine concern for others. Emerson had the opportunity to pursue any part-time job, but she chose to work at a local assisted living facility to serve senior citizens, including her grandmother. Her quick smile, sense of humor, ability to build positive relationships, and her giving nature makes her an absolute pleasure to work with and be around.
Emerson possesses an impressive balance of determination, tenacity, and compassion. I have no doubt that she will continue to excel in any path she chooses and will make a significant impact on everyone around her.
Warm regards,
Dawn Rains
