Gaby Berger

Hello, my name is Gaby Berger and I am going into my 4th year with the 2011G VSA Rush team (Jersey #26) in the Midwest West Division of the Girls Academy (GA). At the conclusion of the ’25-’26 GA season I was selected for the GA Midwest West Talent ID event. Over the past two years I have also participated in CDL ID2 events in Chicago, IL and Minneapolis, MN, the US Youth Soccer ODP Midwest Summer ID Event (2025), and I was also invited to attend a U.S. Soccer Talent ID event at the Sioux Falls training center in 2025. I will be a sophomore at Ankeny Centennial High School (Class of 2029) and just finished my freshman season with the varsity soccer team (Jersey #10) where we finished 16-3-1 and ranked 3rd overall at the end of the season in the State’s top class (3A). During my freshman year I finished the season tied for second in goals scored and third in overall points on my team and was an honorable mention all-conference selection in the Central Iowa Metropolitan League (CIML).

I am a central attacking midfielder (10) that is equally proficient with both my right and left foot, with high-stamina, the ability to finish from a variety of ranges and in the air, and possess accuracy and quality on set pieces. I can also play box-to-box (8) or higher up the middle of the field when needed. My primary strengths are my tactical vision and technical ability. My tactical vision allows me to help our team build and maintain the ball while being able to find passes that break lines. My technical ability allows me to maneuver in tight spaces and provides creativity to break down the defense.

I am looking to play high level collegiate soccer in a program that provides a top-tier competitive environment. I am an enthusiastic player who is always looking for ways to improve my game and I am highly coachable. I thrive in playing environments that focus on possession and attacking. I would like to attend a school with great academic programs that match my aspirations.
