About Gillian
I play club soccer for CT Rush Select 08 and 2008 NE Rush Select. I am a defensive player who mostly plays the number 2 position, but I can also play the 3 and 4 positions as well. I am that player who will never back down from a challenge and always push myself to be the best version of me as possible. I am a 5’ 7” spit fire who wears the number 5 jersey. I am a team player on and off the field.

To Whom it May Concern:
Gillian Brix has asked me to write a letter of recommendation. While I often get requests from players to
speak on their behalf, I have less than a handful that I eagerly accept and look forward to. Gillian is one
of those players.
Gillian has played for me over the past 5 years with our CT Rush Branch team as well as assisted us in
tournaments when she moved on to the CT Rush Select team. I have witnessed her development as a
player and a young adult. While some players do not accept constructive criticism, Gillian seeks out
feedback looking for areas to improve upon. She is a leader on and off the field, always focusing on the
greater good of the team versus her own accolades. As a captain on our team, she had the responsibility
to help motivate and build camaraderie among the players - a task she eagerly took on and excelled at.
Premier soccer often places extra demands on players' schedules and requires them to balance family,
school work, friends, extra curricular clubs and yes, soccer. Despite being a teenager with the struggles
that entails at times, Gillian’s priorities are intact and she arrives on time, ready to play and cheer her
teammates on.
Gillian has admirable personality traits and a solid sense of direction for her future. I can’t wait to see
what the future holds for her. If you have any questions or need more information, please do not
hesitate to contact me at (860)634-4962 or via email at antonio.farinha@northeastrush.com
Sincerely,
Antonio Farinha
