What makes me unique is my work ethic, coachability, and love for the game. Catcher is my favorite position, but I also love being a utility player because it allows me to learn every aspect of softball and help my team wherever I am needed. I am a leader who encourages my teammates, celebrates their success, and works hard to get better every day. I have learned to persevere through challenges, including injuries, while continuing to grow mentally, physically, and emotionally. My experiences with Jen Schro Catching have helped me develop my skills, confidence, and understanding of what it takes to compete at a high level. I believe my determination, positive attitude, and willingness to do the hard work set me apart.
My goal is to continue developing into an elite catcher and versatile softball player who can compete at the highest level. I want to improve my defensive skills, hitting, game awareness, leadership, and mental toughness while becoming stronger and more consistent. I strive to compete against the best competition, earn opportunities to play at the next level, and eventually play college softball at a program where I can make an impact. Academically, I want to continue challenging myself and maintaining strong grades. Most importantly, I want to be a great teammate, learn from every experience, and never stop working toward becoming the best version of myself.
I am looking for a college where I can grow both as a student and as a softball player. I want to be part of a competitive program with coaches who value hard work, accountability, teamwork, player development, and a strong team culture.
I can help my team by bringing energy, effort, leadership, and a team-first mentality every day. As a catcher, I want to lead from behind the plate by communicating, building relationships with my pitchers, understanding the game, and helping my teammates stay confident and focused. I am willing to play wherever the team needs me, whether that is behind the plate, at third base, or another position. I will encourage my teammates through adversity, celebrate their accomplishments, hold myself accountable, and lead by example through my preparation and work ethic. My goal is to make everyone around me better and contribute to a team that trusts one another, competes together, and never gives up.
