I love the sport so much – I always have! Since picking up the goalie's position I made the decision that I was going to start to follow my dream of becoming a college player. I aspire to play soccer at the highest level! I've realized that to be an elite athlete, I must be engaged, devoted and very determined. To be a college athlete, I also realize that this also must apply in the classroom. I realize continuing my experiencing with a soccer team, this will also help me with life skills into adulthood. I need to keep learning and to always try to improve my level of skill. To me, this means that I had to change my mindset and work ethic to keep progressing to a higher level of competition. I want to be the most competitive goalkeeper that I can be. My personality really helps because I am very focused, disciplined, and calm under pressure. Being a goalkeeper really requires that of me and has helped me in other areas of my life. I really enjoy being part of a team and understand that it is not just about me as an individual, but about all of us on the team. Every time I step on the field, I have a responsibility to my teammates, my coaches and myself to be the best goalkeeper I can be. Ultimately, my behavior, attitude, and work ethic reflect my team, school, and myself.
