Kate Lamont

I am Kate Lamont, currently a 9th grade student in Newton, Iowa. I play for the 15u VSA Rush team out of Waukee, Iowa. In addition to my primary role with the 15u VSA RUSH team I have the privilege of frequently guest playing for our 16u team as well as the Rush Select National Team and am a Discovery player for FC Wisconsin in the ECNL. This past summer I was selected to participate in the Girls Academy National Talent ID and received player of the match accolades. While at the National Talent ID I was also asked to participate in the National Selection game, I was the only 2012 selected for this honor.

I'm comfortable in a multitude of attacking positions playing the 7,9,11 and 10 equally well and am able to step into the 2 and 3 defensively if needed. My foot skills are equally strong on both sides lending me to play both sides of the field effectively. This past season I scored 55 goals in the Girls Academy League, over half were scored with my left foot.
