About Kaya
Vocal, physical, sure footed with solid hands are the base of my attacking and aggressive approach to goalkeeping. Being a leader from the back for my field players vocally while also controlling the pace of the game, not fearing any contact from opposing attackers, confidence in my skills, and leading the team by example are the characteristics which make my game stand out from others.
I have been the SGA class president for 3 years and a member of the ALC (Athletic Leadership Council) working to bring the importance of sports in the community around my school and at my school. As a member of the ALC, I’ve spent time raising money and making unified sports stronger at our school and in the county. Bringing awareness to unified sports is important to me so people can have the opportunity to have sports change their lives like it has mine.
Outside of school and soccer I love to do art and I am training to become a coach for younger keepers. Coaching has been a passion of mine ever since I was volunteering with my keeper coach to help the younger sessions and I fell in love. I want to be what my coach was for me with the younger kids.
