Leah Giacometti

I am Leah Giacometti and I have been playing soccer since second grade. I'm always looking for a challenge and a competitive environment. I want to be able to learn from others, and I am always looking for feedback. I am a part of my school's Marine Corps JROTC program, and I've become even more of a leader throughout high school. I want to play not just for a team but for a family. I believe that any team is always better when the players and staff share a close bond. I see myself as a playmaker. While I have the most experience as a striker/center forward who scores goals, I have been adapting to more of a defensive roll. I have started to play the 6, and I've been exploring center back too! If I am in a position that allows me to see the field and the build-up of play, I can see things that some other players might not be able to. I believe that there is always room for improvement, no matter how good someone is, so I am always trying to get better. I value my ability to be able to be calm and look at the positive things around me, and I am a very straightforward person.
