Lila Oubre

I am a dedicated student-athlete who is passionate about competing, improving, and helping my team succeed. I play left wing-back and wing for my club team and center attacking midfield and center defensive midfield for my high school team. My strengths include speed, stamina, playmaking ability, and creating scoring opportunities for my teammates. I led my high school team in assists and have consistently been among the top scorers for both my club and high school teams. Coaches describe me as hardworking, coachable, competitive, and driven, and I pride myself on bringing a high soccer IQ and relentless effort to every training session and game.

As a team captain, I lead by example through my work ethic and positive attitude. Off the field, I am outgoing and enjoy bringing people together, but when it's time to compete, I am focused and ready to work.

Academically, I maintain a 4.0 GPA and plan to pursue a degree in Nursing with the goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. I hope to continue my soccer journey at the Division I level while attending a school that offers a strong nursing program, a competitive soccer environment, and a community where I feel at home.

My soccer journey has taught me resilience. I started club soccer later than many of my teammates, beginning on a B team before earning my way to an Academy team and eventually an ECNL roster. More recently, recovering from meniscus surgery challenged me both physically and mentally, but it strengthened my appreciation for the game and motivated me to return stronger than ever.

Outside of soccer, I am a varsity softball player who enjoys reading, drawing, running, working out, and spending time with family and friends. My long-term goal is to build a career in healthcare while continuing to give back to the game by mentoring young athletes.
