Luca Mannino

Hello, I am Luca Mannino, and I am midfielder for LVU Rush 08 and Northampton Area High school. I have fallen in love with this sport since coming back from Italy about 8 years ago. I participated in a summer soccer camp, and from that point on, I knew this is what I wanted to play, I had a passion for this game and always strived to get better.

As a player, I value my vision of play, skills and work ethic. I've played as a midfielder most of my career, but I did play other positions such as left back and right wing. This has helped me where I am today from taking leadership and doing well under pressure. I had the opportunity to win 2 State Championships in East Pennsylvania, and participating in the ECNL National Championship with LVU Rush. I have been awarded best upcoming player at my school, and throughout the years was able to create history with my school, such as our first time winning EPC, and being in the District finals for the first time.

I also try to focus on my studies, knowing the importance of having a good career in the real world. I am a honor roll student and also I attend a trade school. I like to work with my hands so I chose HVAC, but I also love to resolve problems so mathematics and physics are both classes that I like. In the future I would love to have a engineering degree that will allow me to entrepreneur.

I can't wait to take my athletic and academics to the next level, and being able to compete with people in the collegiate level. This is where I can put my skills to the program and enhance them to maybe playing abroad in a professional level someday.
