About Lucia

Hi my name is Lucia Cesare, I have always loved softball and have always worked hard but also love a good balance. I love going to camp during the summer and me and my family love to travel. But I also really enjoy strength training and weight lifting, what keeps me going and training is the accomplishing feeling and seeing the hard work pay off. For me I love seeing my lifts come into action at the plate, its a satisfying feeling but also a feeling of what could I have done better. My goals in life aren’t in the realm of softball. I look at it as softball isn’t forever so what is? For me I am an aspiring lawyer in criminal justice. I am already pursuing that taking an online and in person course at Georgetown University. I aspire to play high level college softball. My goals in softball of course to play at a high level and be the best player on the field not all by talent though. I want to be the best leader you have seen on and off the field. What makes me unique is my ability to shake off a mistake and snap right back. I think that is one of the biggest traits softball has taught me is resilience and humility. Having resilience when you make a mistake and being able to tell yourself its not the last ball you’ll hit but when you do something great being able to humble yourself and say it’s just another hit. I am looking for a college that has a great community that pushes me to be a better person and better leader for my teammates and friends. I’m looking for a program that is rooted in fundamentals and sticks to simplicity. I’m looking for a coach who loves the game and has passion with a purpose and strives to make us girls better people. I can better a team with my voice. Being vocal and talking someone up can change the momentum of a game and the attitude of someone around you. I think leading with posture of humility is important because a prideful person will fall when failure comes, but the humble will stay level headed. I think I can change the culture in a program with my boldness and confidence on and off the field.
