About Me

Hi Coaches, my name is Maci Martinez, a 2027 central midfielder who plays primarily as an 8, with experience at both the 6 and 10, and additional minutes higher up the field at the high school level. I’m known for controlling tempo, reading the game early, and connecting lines with efficient, purposeful distribution. I take pride in being a reliable, selfless midfielder who does the work on both sides of the ball to keep the team balanced.

While my primary role is dictating play, I’m also effective when stepping into the attack. I time my forward runs well, strike the ball cleanly, and am dangerous from the top of the box when space opens. I’ve been intentional about continuing to develop this part of my game while staying true to my identity as a central midfielder.

I am currently ranked by PrepSoccer as the #5 National Midfielder in the Class of 2027, #6 overall in Colorado across all positions, and #153 nationally. I have earned invitations to two U.S. Soccer National Team Talent ID Camps, represented Colorado Select ODP, and attended multiple Olympic Development Program camps. In 2023, I was selected for the Soccer.com Club Partner XI and competed internationally in New Zealand, an experience that strengthened my composure and understanding of the game at a high level.

Academically, I attend a college preparatory school where I maintain a 3.6 GPA. I value accountability, coachability, and consistency, and I’m committed to growth both on and off the field through leadership and community service.

At the collegiate level, I’m seeking a highly competitive environment that values intelligent, technical midfield play and holds players to high daily standards. I bring a high soccer IQ, versatility, work rate, and composure under pressure, and I’m motivated to contribute as a two-way midfielder who can impact the game in multiple moments.
