About Maci

Hello, my name is Maci Wheeler, and I play for NY Rush Select (Syracuse, New York) and Waverly High School (Waverly, New York). My primary positions are Center Midfield, Center Defensive Midfield, Center Defense, and Left Defense. Soccer has been a major part of my life from a very young age, and it continues to be one of my greatest passions. I am dedicated to improving every day, both on and off the field, and I take pride in my effort, discipline, and mindset required to compete at a high level.
As a player, I bring strong field vision, leadership, and communication skills, along with physicality, composure, and coachability. I strive to set the tone with my intensity and consistently push myself and my teammates to reach our full potential. I am confident in my ability to contribute both defensively and offensively, providing reliability and stability in any position I play.
My goal is to play college soccer at a competitive level while continuing to grow as a student- athlete and leader. I am seeking a program that values hard work, teamwork, accountability, and academic excellence. A team that feels like family and a coaching staff that challenges players to become their very best on and off the field. I am fully committed to representing my future program with integrity, determination, and a team-first attitude.
