Maggie Hannah

Hello,
My name is Maggie Hannah.
I am a sophomore this year and attend Samuel Everett School of Innovation. SESI is a Blount County, TN hybrid academy where students attend class one day a week, and complete school at home the other four days of the week. I currently hold a 4.0 GPA.
I have played soccer since the 5th grade. That first season, I fell deeply in love with the sport. I joined Blount United Rush in January 2025, and am a player under the coaching of T.J McCallum and Bri McDaniel. I am incredibly thankful for my coaches. They have taken the fire in me to excel in soccer, and thrown fuel on it!
Last year, I was given the opportunity to play for Rush Select at the South Rush Cup in Pensacola, FL. I was honored to join a team out of Atlanta, Georgia and get to know and play with some incredible players! And just this summer I attended the VA Beach Rush Select Camp, and it was a amazing experience! I am now attending the Rush International Cup in Palm Beach FL this November!
On the field, I am most confident as a center mid (6) or attacking mid (10). However, I also feel good playing holding mid with those teams we play with incredible attackers. But at the end of the day, I will play wherever I am needed.
As a person, I am usually pretty shy among my peers unless I am close to them. I can be very unforgiving of myself, and that’s something I’m working on. I hold myself to a high standard. I believe heavily in self discipline and self determination. I put 110% of my effort into everything I do, and I believe that sets me apart. From making my bed every morning to tracking my protein intake, I try to be disciplined in my daily routine. With that being said, I also have learned to make recovery very, very important in my daily life. I unfortunately learned the hard way how important it is to take care of and rest my body. My goal as a soccer player is to play in college, then go into the medical field.
In my free time is where my truly unique hobbies come out. I am an avid outdoorsman. In the fall I spend my mornings in tree-stands deer hunting. Once deer season is over, I begin trapping season. I trap everything from coyotes and foxes, to raccoons and opossums. And then, (this is where I get really interesting), I skin and flesh them all myself. Then I sell the pelts aI tand hides. I definitely have a very unique first job!
I also am a Christian, I love the Lord and am a proud daughter of Christ.
Thank you,
-Maggie Hannah
