About Makenna

"I thrive in pressure—when the game’s on the line, I don’t just want the moment… I want to be the difference. I don’t mind standing alone in goal—I embrace being different."

I am a dedicated student-athlete balancing strong academic performance with a deep commitment to soccer. I maintain a 90–95 average with honors coursework in English and plan to pursue a degree in some facet of law. While I’m still exploring which area of law excites me most, I’m drawn to the challenge, discipline, and impact the field offers—much like the game I love.

On the field, I’ve been the starting varsity goalkeeper since my sophomore year, currently holding an 86% save percentage. I play year-round for competitive indoor and outdoor club teams and train regularly with Moore Keepers under Coach Marcelo, a retired Brazilian professional goalkeeper. Over the past three years, I’ve completed 6–12 high-level sessions annually, sharpening both my technique and mental approach to the game.

My strengths as a goalkeeper include decision-making under pressure, positional awareness, consistency, and natural instinct. I’ve earned respect from coaches, teammates, and even referees for my vocal presence and ability to clearly and confidently organize the back line. I lead with positivity, maintain focus in high-stakes moments, and never back down from a challenge.

Coaches I’ve worked with consistently praise my work ethic, attention to detail, and unique ability to apply feedback in real time. I’m highly coachable, mentally tough, and driven to constantly improve both on and off the field.

I’m excited to compete at the collegiate level and contribute to a program that values leadership, growth, and grit—while continuing my academic journey in the legal field.
