About Me
Ever since I was 3 years old, I played any sport I could. I played everything: karate, MMA, lacrosse, basketball, soccer, tennis, etc. As I got older, I quickly realized I had start narrowing down what I was playing and I leaned heavily towards soccer. I fell in love with the game and the ability to push myself and become better and better each passing year. It was evident that I found the right sport for me and I worked really hard to be great. When I got to high school, I made Varsity as a freshman and received the Freshman Offensive Award. When the season ended, I decided to do track in the off season to stay in shape for soccer and I quickly realized, Track was where I belonged. I started running as a freshman, mostly sprinting and relays. Our all freshman relay broke the school record and I qualified for States in all my events.
I think I am an asset to my team because I am constantly holding my team to a high standard. Making sure everyone is working hard, pushing themselves and setting goals and working towards them. I’m constantly jumping into events to help my team earn points, even if it isn’t my main event. I work hard outside of track season, training and being consistent to keep shaving time each year. I am inclusive and encouraging to everyone and I bring a level of energy that my team seems to thrive on.
My goal each year is to be better than the year prior and to take my time and work on shaving seconds off each and every single time. I achieve this by being consistent and pushing myself. I like to run with people who are faster than me so I can use their pace to guide me to be faster.
I’m looking for a college that can help me reach my academic goals as well as allow me to continue running track. I hope to be pushed to be the best version of myself, on and off the track.
