Greg Cumpstone ( email: greg.cumpstone@northeastrush.com, phone: (860) 391-2748, relationship: Coach): Maxi is a physically imposing and technically gifted CDM. He is a leader on the field, and sets a high standard with his focus and efforts in training and matches. Maxi has very good passing range— short deceptive entry balls or line-breaking passes, and long diagonals to switch the point of the attack. This passing range makes him a real weapon at the base of the midfield. Maxi is also physically imposing and is excellent at reading the game and winning ground and aerial duels. His ability to dictate tempo and his spatial awareness and tactical understanding of the game mean he can really impact the teams tempo in his deep-lying midfield position. Maxi would be a great addition to a collegiate team and is definitely someone worth tracking over the next couple of years.
