About Payton

I have been playing soccer for 10 years and plan on continuing my journey at the collegiate level. The love that I have developed for the game of soccer starting as a four year old playing for fun until now makes me want to pursue my dream of becoming a collegiate soccer player. As a current multi-sport athlete, I make sure to give it my all and perform to the best of my ability at all times both on and off the field. I am an extremely coachable player and will do anything it takes to make myself better as a player. I do this by being committed to practices, taking extra foot skills training with a private trainer and attending strength/conditioning and speed/agility classes. I always give my all whether I am playing for my local travel team, high school varsity team, DPL club team or my club’s regional select team. Not only do I give my all as a player on the field, I give back to the soccer community in various ways. I am a referee for my town’s limited travel program and help as an assistant at younger teams practices/camps. I have also volunteered at an annual town event called Girls in Sports Day. This event gives girls 5-11 a chance to see what sports like soccer, field hockey and basketball are all about. Throughout all my years of playing soccer, I have learned countless life lesson, these lessons have helped me be a better person both on and off the field. I have set many goals for myself both on and off the field, however the most important is to maintain high academic standards. For all three years of middle school, I was on the honor roll every quarter, while taking many advanced classes. I was inducted to the National Junior Honor Society last year, received an award for outstanding academic effort ( 1 of 5 students to receive this award) and was the only student to make a speech at my Eighth grade graduation ceremony. I was member of the Honors Band last year. Currently I am maintaining a 4.5 weighted GPA in my first year of high school, taking all honors classes (Geometry, Biology, English and Pre-AP World History). I would like to pursue Biomedical or Pharmaceutical Engineering or possibly Athletic Training. I would like to attend a college where I can play soccer at a high level and meet my academic goals. I can help your program by being a tenacious defender, hard worker, leader and overall good teammate and opponent. I am willing to play wherever I am needed and I will always play to the best of my abilities.
