Payton McIntyre

I’m Payton McIntyre, a junior at Valley Regional High School in Deep River, CT and I’m set to graduate in the class of 2026. I’m a 5’8” midfielder who usually plays the 6, center defensive mid, however I can flexibly adjust to 4 & 5, center back, or anywhere else as needed. Qualities that make me stand out as a potential recruit for your program include my strong footskills, high soccer IQ, and leadership skills as evidenced by my appointment as a captain of my high school team as a junior.

I have many academic and athletic accomplishments that I am proud of and I feel these achievements also set me apart from others on the pitch. Some of my proudest academic accomplishments include maintaining high honors status throughout my high school years, receiving Algebra Student of the Year as a freshman, and strong organization and writing skills. Likewise, I have many athletic accomplishments that are a result of countless hours on a soccer field. I was awarded the “Warrior Award” on my high school team as a Sophomore for leadership and athletic commitment, received Second Team All Conference Honors this year, and also made the highly selective CT Rush Select Team (ECNL/RL) 4 years ago. This team has qualified for nationals 2 years in a row affording me the opportunity to play against many levels and styles of players across the nation. Additionally, I have a 3.78 GPA and a 1140 PSAT test score. In the off season, I’m actively involved in skiing and I hold a job outside of school as well.
