B/A Honor Role
Growing up in a small town, I understand how important community programs are in giving young people opportunities to grow, stay active, and build confidence. For the past several years, I have dedicated the majority of my free time to assisting with our local youth soccer club, coaching players year round.
In a town where resources can be limited, i am happy to promote the growth of soccer in our community. I work closely with young kids to develop their skills, but more importantly, to teach teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Seeing the program expand and watching players develop not only as athletes but as individuals has been incredibly rewarding.
Coaching has allowed me to give back to the community that shaped me, while developing my own leadership, communication, and mentorship skills. It has become more than an extracurricular activity.
