Skylar Thomas

I am a competitive fastpitch softball player whose primary position is center field. I take pride in my speed, softball IQ, defensive range, and ability to read the ball off the bat. Center field is where I am strongest, but I am also versatile and willing to help my team in other positions when needed, including left field.

Offensively, I bring several different tools to the lineup. I can drag bunt, power bunt, power slap, bunt for placement, and hit away. My speed is one of my biggest strengths, especially on the bases. I understand how to read the defense, take extra bases, and use my speed to put pressure on opposing teams.

What makes me unique is that I take both softball and academics very seriously. I am an Honor Roll student and a member of the National Junior Honor Society, and I plan to study engineering in college. I am competitive, coachable, hardworking, and always looking for ways to improve my game.

My goal is to play softball at the collegiate level while earning a strong education. I am looking for a college where I can be challenged academically, continue growing as an athlete, and be part of a competitive and supportive softball program.

I believe I can help a college program with my speed, defensive range in the outfield, strong base running instincts, versatility at the plate, softball IQ, and willingness to play wherever my team needs me. I want to be the type of player who contributes both on and off the field and helps my team compete at a high level.
