Skyler Janse Van rensburg

My name is Skyler Janse van Rensburg and I started playing club soccer in early elementary school. I began my soccer journey playing as a goalkeeper on Bethlehem Soccer Club's U8 team. In my early years of playing, I was constantly switching positions, searching for the one that felt right for me. I went from keeper to striker to right back. It was only when my modified coach put me as an attacking mid, I found the position I was looking for. I loved attacking mid because it allows me to join in on offence with shooting and playing those through balls to my wingers and striker, as well as joining in helping defend when needed. I had always liked both offence and defense and attacking mid let me have the best of both worlds. More current, I typically play in the midfield, or as a left winger because I like to cut in and shoot far post. Something that makes me unique is my ability to communicate with everybody on the team and keep everyone motivated when moving through challenging parts of the game. I am looking for a college that can help me further develop my skills as a player, and teammate, as well as staying very competitive. I have a great attitude overall and like to be physical with my gameplay. I am not afraid to put myself in front of the ball when needed.
