About Me

My name is Sydney Lynch and I am a senior at Gilbert High School in Gilbert, Iowa. I currently have a 3.98 GPA on a 4.0 scale. I play club soccer at Sporting Iowa in the ECNL-RL program, located in Des Moines, Iowa and played Iowa ODP in the '21/22 season. The past couple of years I have mostly played forward, but I have played center mid and outside mid as well. I feel that I am a very versatile player when it comes to my position (my skills at the next level may be more suited for midfield, but I am happy to play wherever the team needs me). In addition to playing soccer I also play softball, basketball and golf. I am a 4 year varsity starter on my softball team, starting on my team since my eighth grade year. In basketball I am a 3 year varsity player. Other activities I'm involved with in high school are: FCA, FCCLA, DECA and Key Club. Because I am a multi-sport athlete and haven't focused on soccer I have not come close to reaching my potential in soccer. I know with my athleticism, desire and coachability that my ceiling for success is very high. I am a very competitive person who loves a challenge and the process that comes with it. I look forward to focusing more on soccer my senior year and to see where it takes me in continuing my soccer career at the collegiate level.
