Summar Taha

I'm a dedicated and passionate 16 year old volleyball player currently competing with Madfrog 18 National Black Sears. I began my volleyball journey at just five years old, and over the years I've developed a deep love for the game that continues to inspire me both on and off the court.

As a committed athlete with a strong competitive background, I've been a member of teams that have qualified for USAV Nationals five times, earning two USAV National medals along the way. These experiences have strengthened my work ethic, resilience, and desire to compete at the highest level.

I attend Brighter Horizons Academy, a small 2A private high school, where I'm the only experienced volleyball player on the team. Despite the challenges, I'm honored to serve as team captain, leading by example and encouraging my teammates to stay positive, work hard, and never give up. I believe leadership is about inspiring others to be their best, regardless of the circumstances.

Off the court, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, shopping, and listening to music. I was born and raised in Plano, Texas, and come from a close-knit family with an older sister and an older brother. My brother has severe special needs, and growing up alongside him has shaped me into a more compassionate, patient, and understanding person. His strength has given me a special place in my heart for individuals with special needs and has influenced the way I approach life and relationships.

Above all, volleyball is my greatest passion. I'm committed to continually improving as both an athlete and a leader, and I'm excited to pursue opportunities to compete at the collegiate level while making a positive impact on my team, my community, and those around me.
