Extracurricular activities

FC Europa 09 ECNL-RL (2025-26) and High School Soccer (2023-24) - Soccer has been the main sport and love of my life for as long as I can remember. I stopped playing for my high school team after freshman year due to the low level of play, and because my ECNL-RL club team offers a rigorous and disciplined training environment that I felt a more worthwhile use of my time. I am considering playing HS soccer my senior year, just for fun.

Tennis (2025-27) - Captain: 1st singles for my high school tennis team, while continuing to train with my club for soccer. 3rd Singles last year.

At Your Service (2026-present): I was recently accepted as a Temple Health volunteer in a hospital facing non-clinical environment.

Soccer Mentor (2021-present): I volunteer as a mentor/coach younger players through Pennsylvania Rush soccer club, which I greatly enjoy. By assisting more experienced coaches, I learn about on-field coaching, and am able to positively inspire younger players.

Mathnasium, Tutor (2026-present): I have begun tutoring math for K-12 students approximately 10 hours a week utilizing a proprietary teaching methodology. It has cemented my own knowledge base while challenging me to reduce the complexity in explaining mathematical concepts.

Seedling and Sage, Server (2022-present): Throughout high school, and continuing to the present, I have worked for a local catering company, anywhere from 10-40 hours a month (depending on the season) as a server.

YAG (2023-24, 2025-26) - Member of Youth and Government club, simulating Congress and engaging in legislative process. It culminated with a spring weekend in the State House capitol building in Harrisburg, debating and conferencing on bills.

About Sydney

I have been playing soccer since I was three years old, and am looking to continue playing this game I love for as long as I am able, while pursuing an excellent education at the same time. As a defender (wingback, center back), I bring intelligence and creativity to the field, and excellent positional awareness. I am a versatile player, and am comfortable at wing, as well as defensive mid, center back, and even striker or forward. This current season (2025-26), I moved from a 2008 team to play age-pure and was selected for the 2009 ECNL-RL team at FC Europa. As a player, I make chances and create opportunities for my team. I thrive in battle, and never give up. I have a high work rate, paired with a willingness to make hard tackles. I will bring drive and vision to any program I join. I am interested in studying a STEM related field, and hope to do so at an academically challenging school.
