Tanner Heckman

My name is Tanner Heckman, and I’m currently a junior at Upper Perkiomen High School in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania. I play center back and outside back for HEX FC Dominion ECNL. Before joining HEX FC for the 2025–2026 season, I spent six seasons with Lehigh Valley United Rush ECNL.

I take pride in being a dedicated and disciplined individual—both on the field and in the classroom. I approach every challenge with determination and give 100% effort until the final whistle. Adversity, especially when facing a tough opponent or playing from behind, only fuels my motivation to work harder. I’m committed to constant improvement, putting in the extra time to train, study, and go above and beyond the expectations of my coaches and teachers.

I am exploring the possibility of a future in nursing alongside my continued athletic development. When selecting a college, I’m looking for a school with a competitive soccer program, a coaching philosophy that aligns with my values, a strong academic support system, and a positive team culture that fosters growth both on and off the field.

Excellent field vision with the ability to read the game and adjust positioning (stop, drop, shift) accordingly

Technically clean on the ball; able to distribute accurately, including driven balls downfield

Confident advancing into open space when opportunities arise

Capable of creating attacking chances from wide areas
