About Taylor

I'm a 2027 right-handed pitcher and a left-handed power hitter from Lexington, TX. In addition to softball, I'm a multi-sport athlete that has included powerlifting, volleyball and basketball. My activities outside of softball involve coaching my younger sister in volleyball, basketball and softball and many school organizations.

I live in a small rural community which means it's also a limited number of girls to field a team. I've been the main pitcher since Freshman year, last year leading our team to the 3A State Championships. This year I had to become the only pitcher. The previous years' success has helped me to handle the pressure and workload. My biggest strength is my mental toughness. Many girls could take a day off or step back if their pitches are missing spots, but I didn't have the option. Fortunately, something unique about me is that I'm a movement pitcher with 7 pitches, so if something doesn't work, I can adjust.

One of the biggest things I'm looking for in a school is one that can help me to fulfill my goals of getting a masters in Athletic Training. I'm really looking forward to being on a pitching staff that can help me to grow as a player and person. I will fill whatever role I need to on a softball team, if it's cheering for my team on the bench or pitching 2-3 games a week.
