About Victoria

Thank you for reading my profile. I am a midfielder who can play any midfield position as well as center forward. For VSA Rush (GA), I usually play a more attacking role, but on my varsity Waukee (Iowa) High School team, as a Freshman and Sophomore, I played mostly a double-pivot 6 with pretty equal attacking and defensive responsibilities, sometimes moving to an 8 or a 10, depending on what the gameplan required. As a junior, I played 10 exclusively, scored 8 goals, had 1 assist and was involved in several other successful scoring attacks. Our team made it to the quarterfinals of the Class 3A state tournament and I was chosen for 2nd team All-Conference in the CIML. Soccer is very important to me and I work hard to improve both in training and on my own time. I attend every mini-camp, open turf, or open gym I can, and I help coach camps for young players. I also work hard on practicing free kicks and corner kicks on my own time. I think my biggest strength is that I am calm under pressure and I try to be positive for my teammates, even if I'm not the loudest voice on the field. I think being able to calm down my teammates helps the team not yell at each other and play better as a team. I think my best skills are my first touch, vision and awareness, and passing, and I'm working hard to increase my physicality and taking the shot instead of looking for the quick pass. I'm looking for a coach and program that value high-possession, versatile midfield play and who can not only help me improve as a player, but also support my serious interest in coaching as a career.
